Today was the first day of school. So I have made a list of "new" things that happened today.
* new backpacks
* new socks and shoes
* new clothes (and things)
* new teachers
* new schools for the kids
* new pencils and folders
* new classes
* new pens and notebooks
* new locker
* new friends to be made!
Erika started 8th grade (I know). I asked her if she was excited and she said "kindof". To which I said "What would make it better?" Her committed was "Don't make me go today, I'll start tomorrow!" It's hard to be the new kid in school, but I know that she will do great. We walked through in new school and she is ready to get make to schoool.
The twins started 5th grade ( I know, again). They were both up at 6:30 am (this will change) and dressed and eating by 6:45. We meet their teachers, and they were happy. Bryson has 3 friends in his class and Brooklyn was on her own, but she makes friend easily. They were both exvited. Last night we were getting ready and I told them I was going to give them a house key, for those very few times I'm not home after shchool. You would have thought it was Christmas! They both asked if I could please not be home today so they could use the keys.
So heres to new things!!! I know my kids will do great!
